What is 'Mario and Luigi'?

Mario and Luigi was a series of RPG games produced by Alphadream from 2003 to 2019.
The series is known for its ‘deviation from the norm’, introducing new characters, areas and species to Mario lore.
This website is named after the Beanbean Kingdom; a country that borders the Mushroom Kingdom and the main setting of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga.
It is inhabited by ‘Beans’, or ‘Beanish’ – a species of plant-like people similar to Toads from the Mushroom Kingdom.
On October 1st, 2019 the studio responsible for this series, Alphadream, filed for bankruptcy.
While the future of Mario and Luigi is uncertain… we can still appreciate all of the memories made; in the past, present, and future.
